1) Is the Vancouver LEGO® Club affiliated with The Lego Company in any way? |
No, it is not. We are simply a group of LEGO® enthusiasts who wish to share with other like-minded individuals.
| 2) Where is the best place to purchase LEGO® in Vancouver? |
The cheapest places in Vancouver to purchase LEGO® are at: Superstore, Zellers and even The Bay. As always, it is highly recommended to wait until these items go on sale which does happen on occasion. However, be aware that not all items can be purchased from a retail store. |
| 3) What LEGO® is not available from retail stores, and where can I purchase those items? |
Train accessories, Shop@Home exclusives, some bulk items, and sculptures. These items can be purchased directly from LEGO® Shop@Home. |
| 4) Where can I buy (insert typical model viewed at a show or display)? |
Most of the models you see on display are original creation -- MOC's (my own creations). They generally comprise of components from numerous sets LEGO® has produced over many years and genres. With enough bricks, you too can create such wonders. |
| 5) Is the Vancouver LEGO® Club affiliated with any other similar LEGO® clubs? |
Not as yet. However, we do encourage LEGO® train and display enthusiasts to ascribe to the display specifications as set by the Pacific Northwest LEGO® Train Club concerning modular tables. Consistency in display tables will allow for ease of playability amongst Members and also for organization at Public Events. |
| 6) At the membership meetings, how do you tell everyone's LEGO® apart? |
Train track can be marked on the bottom of the track with a permanent marker. Minifigs can be separated at their midsections and a small piece of paper with your initials placed inside. |
| 7) Is LEGO® safe in an aquarium for both the fish inhabitants and LEGO®? |
After consultation with The Lego Company, it is indeed safe for all concerned. LEGO® is comprised of a very stable inert hard plastic and will therefore not breakdown in an aquarium environment. |
| 8) Can LEGO® stickers be reproduced? |
Yes. Click here for the full FAQ on this subject. |

These specifications have been given to a Vancouver woodworker who has created both sizes of modular tables and even several custom sizes based on the same modular design. The craftsmanship of these tables is absolutely phenomenal.
Please fax this woodworker (his name is Srecko) at 604-588-3832 to request a quotation based on your needs.
Dean & Xandria have had their tables created by Srecko, and would gladly show them to you.
