BrickCon 2011 Info

This message was passed along the PortLUG mailing list in Portland to all who wish to lend assistance to BrickCon. I'm just passing along this message, nothing more. Social Media

I see that VLC has started a group page on Facebook. Any plans to add a link to that from the front page of the VLC website?

Also, do the members here like to use Twitter at all to talk about LEGO?

Cheers

Other Events in Vancouver

Is there anyone planning to promote VLC and LEGO at other conventions or events in Greater Vancouver? I maintain a page devoted towards fan conventions in the Pacific Northwest. http://nwsfssub02.blogspot.com/2010/12/upcoming-events-january-2011-beyond.html One convention that's coming up in June is...

Re: Vancouver LEGO store

Funny you mention the driving part about going to LEGO stores. There's quite a few people in Seattle, that save up and go 2-3 times a year down to the Portland Area LEGO store so they don't have to pay sales tax, even though they have the store in Bellevue. If Vancouver can support two Ikea stores n...

Re: Brick Con page somewhat updated

Hi Dave Yes I've been to a couple SeaLUG meetings and went to BrickCon for the first time last year. While I can't speak for SeaLUG, from my observations is that a single mailing list just works best for them. Just like a forum format works well for your club, a single mailing list works for them. T...

Vancouver LEGO store

Any word that LEGO would be opening an official store in Greater Vancouver? Are the other two locations in Canada doing well? Can't figure out why the economics haven't worked for them to open a store in the area.

New northwest LEGO convention being organized

Members of a LEGO club out of Portland Oregon are in the planning stages of launching a summer LEGO convention in the city in 2012. PortLUG has started discussions on their mailing list for the event. If you're interested, you can read through some of the discussion on their mailing list. No name fo...
