And now for the whole figures. Here are 14 Fairy Batman figs. All the same figure, identified by touch.
The lowest 11.87g and the highest 12.01g. and it could have been more, in the low probability of a very heavy foil having a very heavy paper insert.

Re: weight based identification of collectible minifigs
PS I weighed the heaviest and lightest packs four times each, twice on two different scales, just to see if I was making an error. I then compared a whole bunch of packs on the second scale and got the exact same result.

weight based identification of collectible minifigs
So with new series coming out in boxes, I hear people talking about identifying CMFs by weight. And I saw a guy at the LEGO store the other day with his little drug scale. I've had my doubts, so I asked him if he was looking for the mushroom guy and he wasn't, he passed me two "likely mushrooms" tha...

Mostly sealed set sand used build ones, many themes
Hey all, I seem to do this twice a year now, so I'm overdue! I still have so much LEGO I can' barely walk into the LEGO room. It's really problematic! So Here is my updated list of what's on the chopping block. Many things that you have seen there before. And some new stuff. https://docs.goog...

Half and half. I mostly did it cause I thought it was a cool idea. And cause it gave me an excuse to learn new skills.

My LEGO bear movie
So I finished my stop motion LEGO bear movie a few weeks ago and they released it a week ago. It's on YouTube Here: https://youtu.be/QaxRGkvo4Q4 That turned into a long project. Even though I didn't even build it all from scratch. And the bits I did build, like the row of houses and the crappiest fi...

Re: 4 large bins of LEGO® for sale, all boxes
If you want to get good resale value on it, sadly you will need to sort it all into the sets that it came in (and maybe do some cleaning as it looks very dusty in the photos. Selling boxes of bulk will be much easier for you, but hold a much lower value. Selling the whole collection as one lot would...

Wow. That looks awesome!
I have sometimes walked through my neighbourhood (Penticton and Pandora ) and wondered how many giant LEGO collections are in my area. I think the answer is that there are likely lots, and all over the place.

Re: Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
Colours! Sean had questions. The vinyl is clear, because that's why I'm at this printer, to save on the trouble of cutting stuff out, and make finer shoes possible and stable. The White underlay is the tricky part that most print shops won't do. It's a plain white, "5th colour" of sorts. It will be ...

Re: Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
I will be putting the oder in around July 3rd, so You'll have 10 days to decide if you want something.
Daniel asked me about cost. Think of it this way. 144 square inches for $23, so what you can fit in 1x5 inches for $1.

Re: Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
As for where to start. I go two distinctly different ways, that sometimes cross. DRAWING from scratch I usually go this rough and use adobe illustrator to create vector based files for lines, text, angles, curves, etc. PHOTOS and Photoshop Sometimes I start with an image, like a logo or unusual shap...

Re: Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
I'm thinking to print in the next month. So first or second week of July. I could do it in the next week, but I think it makes sense to give people more time. Do you have a picture of what you want? If it's a straight on photo of the decorated area, I can just delete the surrounding in photoshop and...

Re: Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
The product I'm going for is the adhesive clear vinyl. They have other products, but each thing they run would be subject to the same minimum batch size on the material. The printer that runs the clear vinyl is 4 feet wide and prints onto a roll of material. Once they get the machine going, they wan...

Emailed Rapid and they don't do white ink. Emailed Second City on Venables (here inEast Van) and they do. "We do have clear adhesive vinyl sticker and we are able to print spot white in places needed as you requested. We have a 4sq/ft minimum as this material is printed off a roll and not sheets. Wh...

Robin: Rapid Copy and Print in Abbotsford. Ask for Danielle.
They've done all the BrickCan badge, award, and trophy brick printing for the past few years. UV printing, not engraving. [including white ink]

Where to get full colour with white printing on clear
Has anyone ever found a print shop that will print white ink/toner onto a clear sticker? I've asked a few places and they all said no. Official LEGO sets do this all the time for stickers. Even torso prints on a dark torso for light colours, with the white as an undercoat. I would be looking for 1 t...

Looking for lots of black pieces
Hey folks, A friend of mine is working on a "Bear Aware" program on the Sunshine Coast and asked me to come up with 300 little LEGO bears, to be given away at events. Kids will get a bear, when talking to city staff/teacher/organizers about making their homes more Bear Aware. The bear kit will inclu...

The Joy of Aquazone
This years BrickCon had a great Aquazone build that got a few people talking about how much they love Aquazone. And at the VLC we talked about doing an Aquazone display once upon a time. It reminded me of this one from BrickCon 2010 that I though I would share.
