Re: Decals for custom minifigs
Is the store you're talking about is www.imperialhobbies.ca ? Thanks, I just called them, and they do sell the paper, but they don't print them themselves. However, they sell paper for laser printers in small quantities, so that should do, and I can just get them printed up at Staples or another pri...

Decals for custom minifigs
Hi All,
Does anyone know of anywhere in or around Vancouver where I could get a small quantity of water-slide decals printed for minifig customization? I've been planning to get them through Kaminoan's printing service, but he seems to be still be off on holidays.
Thanks,
Jeffery

Wanted: Green Minifig Cap (PN: 4485)
I'm looking for one standard minifig cap in green. I know that's fairly trivial, but ordering it from BL or some such is too much bother for the moment. I live near SFU, but could meet 'most anywhere on a transit route.

Looking for offers on Mindstorms parts bundle
Hey all, I'm thinking about selling some or all of my Mindstorms parts, and I'm wondering what people would pay for them. I'm wanting to make a large-ish purchase, and, being a university student, I don't have the money for it; also, I won't have room to use my Lego for several years. Anyhow, I'll t...

Friend looking for Pirate stuff
Hey all, I've been absent for a while... just really busy with University. (No time for The Brick) :( Anyhow, I've got a friend that's working on a hefty project, and she's looking for all the Pirate sets/bulk that she can get her hands on. (within reason, of course) I don't have any details yet, bu...

My latest find...
Hey everybody - I've gone a while... I'm up at SFU now, and we have this wonderful thing called the Shelf Of Reciprocity (which I figure sounds like it should be in an old-skool RPG), which is where people put stuff that they're giving away free. Walking by it today, I noticed a Lego box... and not ...

I downloaded it way back, but they were redoing their header standard, so I don't know the status of the updates being rereleased. I'll try to check it out, and if worse comes to worse, I can zip my parts library and send it to you by way of Yousendit.com or some other service. I'd download MLCad fo...

Good work, as usual... I especially like the mech's legs - they look a lot more organic than most - it's a good effect. The one thing I would work on is the landscape/wreckage/whatever represented by the grey bricks; they look a bit out of place - at first I thought they were holding baseplates toge...

Microscale Walkway Idea
I was making a 1-wide walkway for a microscale creation, and I needed a nice way to terminate it, with an “observation platform” look. I ended up using part 30031 to good effect:

I know the model is "blocky" that's why I say it's classic technic. Think of it as function over form. Maybe it's just because I am older and that's what the typical set looked like when I was a kid, but I really like it. you have a point - I didn't really grow up in that era. (Although I'm not tha...

well... it doesn't even appear when you're not logged in, but for all I know, (non-club) forum members may be able to get to it. My point, although partly a joke, was that most of the spam accounts have really obvious names, so it shouldn't be a problem for Dean. Maybe I shouldn't have, but seeing a...

any reply from dean jeff ? nope. Also, shouldn't we be deleting them out of the Trolls 'r' Us forum quickly - by the looks of the "latest post author" line, all the posts are still in there. That kind of defeats the purpose of dealing with them, and it's not making our forums any more kid friendly ...

I haven't seen the movie either, but that looks pretty awesome! Way to go. As I was telling Connor at the show, I think it almost takes more skill in some ways to build something quality out of the "useless" Bionicle pieces than it does with System or Technic. You can definitely pull off a good Bion...

That's pretty cool, although it's a bit blocky - you might want to smooth it out a bit. That said, it looks nice and solid, and the stabilizer (can't think of the proper name) retraction mechanism looks quite ingenious. Does it work reliably? P.S. The problem with the picture is that you're linking ...

I've been deleting posts directly the last few times, because moving them to Trolls 'r' Us wasn't working. I'd uncheck "leave shadow topic", and it appears to be doing something of the sort anyways. (I've don't what happens when you leave it checked, but with it unchecked, it leaves the post there, ...
