Re: New LEGO Product - BrickHeadz

I wonder if the $40 price tag is the SDCC Exclusive Price, and the actual lineup of them next year will be priced more reasonably.

If this catches the Funko/Pop/Vinyl crowd it could be pretty huge for LEGO as a new segment.

Here's my few pictures from the weekend. What a great weekend it was!

And of course, congrats Paul. I think you reached "legend" status this time.

Part-time Employment Opportunity

Hello Everyone - I have an interesting offer for a job which I think many of you would be suited to: In the late Spring I took over teaching LEGO Mindstorms classes via a friend of a friend. The classes would be as follows: Our plan for the fall term is September 19-December 13, on Saturdays and Sun...

My bad...everyone register anyway!

Hi VLC - I'm hoping I could at least borrow, if not buy two of this wheelset from one of you: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41896 (Any colour) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41897 Bricklink will let you know what sets they were in, but both the large black and white creator ...

Re: Getting excited about Brickcon yet?

I've been excited since October 7th, 2012 ... Diana, I highly recommend staying at a hotel nearby (See my post in the other BrickCon thread on Hampton versus Maxwell). Of course, this depends on how much you want to see the rest of Seattle, and how much of a party person you want to be! Most are not...

Hi everyone, I had a talk with Steve Witt about the prices (VicLUG and Canadian AFOL's everywhere complain too!) and the sad news is nothing will change in the near future. According to LEGO, the exchange rate is just a part of how products are priced. The US is a much more competitive and hyperacti...

I'm certainly going, and at least one VicLUG member is also going with his son! There might be another of us, but he isn't sure if he can make it or not. Hope to see a lot of you there again this year, I'm sure it will be a great time. I don't think you need a passport for driving down, but it makes...

Hi all!
The Cafe is actually $30 cheaper in the US when you work out the exchange, so I'm definitely going to get mine down there. Also, for those of you going to Brickfest PDX, there's no sales tax in Oregon: And AFOL's are likely to get a LEGO Store discount. I just hope there's some left!

The codes only last for a certain period of time. I did notice this specific code kept having more items added...it was quite good! Unless they decide to put it up again, or someone gets wind of a new one, it's gone. My best advice is to order immediately in the future.

Run out of pieces? It all depends on what you build I suppose. The more pieces you have, the bigger you can build. I do a lot of castle building, so I'm always pushing for bigger & "better" - I need all the old grey bricks I can get my hands on. If you build small models with a diverse range of piec...

Haha - I wonder that too. Is Bizarro the name of the comic? I remember a member several years ago at FBTB who went by the name. He was quite artistic, if I remember correctly.

Thanks guys,
I'd like to make it over that side sometime, but it's pretty expensive with the ferry and all, and I don't know if it would be worth it for just a day trip.

How about seeing you guys over here?

I totally can't wait for BrickCon if not for the simple fact I'll get to see this beauty completed! Is the underside just a tighter circle similar to the top, or what?

I'm not sold on the engine pods, since there's so many gaps, but it's looking great already.

Well I headed off to Superstore - Utterly disappointing! They had a 2-foot wide section of LEGO at best, a complete mess, and most of it was duplo or Bionicle. They didn't have any of those brick boxes, which I was after, and only a few very random sets which didn't appeal to me. TRU may be expandin...

Nah, it's not like my pirate model that much, aside from the fact it involves similar ocean bits. Personally I think it's a much better overall model, with a lot more interest.

Can't wait to see your model - I'm sure it'll be awesome!
