This is only 30% off regular priced LEGO though; doesn't work on items that are already on sale.

Re: Saddest day Ever...

Here's an article with a few more details - apparently the LEGO belonged to an 11-year old. A few containers full of bricks fell off a passenger vehicle.

I didn't get one... nor do I expect to get one!

The problem is that there is no clear criteria as to who gets one, and who doesn't.

I've always wondered why the LEGO store employees don't go and update the BrickBuildr site. Do it as a fan, and not as an employee! :)

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

Did you happen to notice if it's the Bright/Shiny Dark red or the flat/drab dark red? Stupic question, I know. I just only have about 8 of the bright ones and tons of drab. Wow Daveed, I didn't realize there are two "types" of dark red... All i know is that it's the dark red from Cafe Corner, Fire ...

I was there this afternoon and two unusual items I saw were 1x2 dark red bricks and 1x4 "pink" bricks. I think the official Bricklink colour for the latter is "bright pink".

I think the packaging is more commonly referred to as "polybag". When you say blister pack, I tend to think of the hard plastic cases that the build-your-own-minifigs come in! :)

I noticed NCIX had a two starwars sets when I picked something up in Aberdeen, they even wrapped them in security ropes. They have a lot more on their website and some on special. Wow... just be careful - the NCIX regular prices for LEGO are higher than MSRP. Why on earth did these electronics stor...

I was thinking of leaving a bin of basic 1xN & 2xN bricks nearby for visitors to build simple mosaics, or leave messages behind. Bonus points if you can put something obscene without me noticing. :)

Re: Duty on Shipments from Barnes & Noble

Please don't get duty & tax mixed up. :) LEGO is duty free, but it's up to the CBSA agents to charge you 12% HST or not... If it comes through the mail, Canada Post will charge you a $5 handling fee on top of the tax (that is, assuming CBSA makes you pay tax). I've ordered stuff from Barnes & Noble ...

Re: Lego Oakridge Pick A Brick wall updates

A few days ago (May 20/21?) I saw 2x4 dark green bricks (as in the dark green used primarily for the 10194 Emerald Night). They were up higher on the wall.

Edit: I may have made a mistake - They were probably "regular" green, like your typical green baseplates.

Yup, same username!

So I found 9 stormtroopers, 8 of which are in perfect condition. 1 has slight wear on the back printing. How about all 9 for $35?
