Set #4438 is a winner for me, nice new bear, brown pieces, brick bricks, rock formation bricks, amsuing minifig heads etc. Will pick up one set to incorporate into my collection/projects. My son will at least play with the motorbike & car.

I dont see myself wanting more than 1 bear though.. they are solitary creatures for the most part.

Other sets look nice for the city/town collector but dont appeal very much to me. I was just browsing TRU's lego aisles yesterday pondering if there was anything I'd pick up for their "buy more, save more" sales.. and i looked thur the CITY sets- none had foliage/trees that may have increased their appeal- but there was none. Good move on LEGO's part increasing the foliage & flames with the firemen sets.

Cheers

New. I first noticed them in a spoiler for a 2012 ninjago set (white ninja with a snake temple), the brick bricks were white.

What timing, I think I need a bear for one of the Labours of Hercules. Although, brick built would probably be better. Still, I want one of these bears. I just don't want the set.

yes they are new. i think they will add nicely to the modular building theme. Hopefully we can get the element number in time for the bulk order. I really like some of the vehicles in this series. specifically the new garbage truck and old ford style pick-up (with the dark red). I also like the new 1x1 round tile mold used for the fog lights.

only for the one that gets the bears.
the club has a gluttony of green tree leaves thanks to the bulk order and i suspect we will see the bricks on there too.

Honestly, I was trying to help michael find a new avatar. Do not make the mistake of typing "bear muncher" into google images. You may not be able to unsee certain images.

wait a second... Are those headlights on the police vehicle what I think they are? Round 1x1 tiles?

Also noticed them here:

Unfortunately I only see them in trans yellow (and maybe trans red). But it's a start.

Also, there's at least 1 grey one in 2011 Holiday Set 2 of 2. So I think we'll see them in more colours in the future.

Makes sense, since there's 1x1 round plates and 2x2 round tiles...

Working in a warehouse environment I can't help but admire any kind of forklift. The variable-reach forklift in #4206 Recycling Truck looks cool. For a more rugged and heavy duty version I can imagine adding the telescopic crane piece so it can provide higher lift. I even made my own forklift using a combination of technic axles to make a 2 stage mast (generic Lego forklift piece is only a 1 stage) for my forklift but it was a bit fragile (good for display but not for play).

#4431 Ambulance looks like something right out of Vancouver.
