Interesting to see the return of Pirates as a theme.

Also Bionicle is back. I thought Bionicle had gone the way of Galidor!

Amazing! I'm certainly looking forward to the Ultra Agents Chopper. That Anti-Matter minifig looks deep! :woo:

I spoke to the guy at BrickCon who makes the parts and runs AltBricks.com. He told me Lego is coming out with these new leaf colors directly because of his stuff... They thought it was such a good idea they had to do it themselves.

That's a first - LEGO copying something from a "competitor"... :p

I don't think they look at Alt bricks as a competitor; they most likely view them as they do brickarms and brickforge. They kind of augment or fill in the gaps where Lego dare not or is reluctant to go.

Or rather, market research.

I'm not too big on the third wave series. They seem to go way out there in the theme instead of giving more of what they first started with. Like Ninjago, or Alpha Team or now Agents.

Well "competitor" wasn't the best term (hence the quotations)... Perhaps third party is better.

That reminds me - these leaves aren't the first "third party" item LEGO ended up making. They also made official cows/pigs/sheep after Brickforge beat them to it.
