Sorry that I have not been attending meetings, I run a FIRST LEGO league group on Saturdays, and a LEGO building group on Sundays. The FIRST LEGO League competition is Saturday November 26th, at Carson Graham Secondary School, North Vancouver (I graduated from there in 1981!)
You should see lots of press about it soon.
Slightly off topic: UBC has a big conference table up for grabs. It is 12 feet long, 4 feet wide in the center, 3 feet wide at the ends. It is one piece of 1 inch thick particle board, and weighs a lot. Give me a call if you want or need such a monster for a train display.
