Project Pikachu - Parts needed

Post by Captain Pike »

Hey VLC'ers
I need some help sourcing parts for a group build. For my son's birthday I'd like all the kids to build a small Pikachu Pokemon model. I've designed the model but I only have enough yellow slopes for one complete model. Go figure. We could also do this as a speed build at the March 9th meeting.
I need the parts listed below to make a minimum 6 sets for the meeting and the kids party.

Brick / # Needed
Yellow
1x3 slope / 28
1x2 slope / 4
1x2 reverse slope / 20
1x3 brick / 28
Black
1x2 slope / 10
Brown
1x4 brick / 6

Can anybody help me out with these part? It can be a loan - a trade - whatever! If you can help out let me know here and bring the parts to the March 9 Meeting.
If you want to make up a complete set for the model and bring that to the meeting, well that would be extra cool.

Pikachu Profile model
Brick / # in model

Yellow
1x3 slope / 2
1x2 slope / 2
2x2 brick / 2
1x2 reverse slope / 4
1x3 brick / 8
1x2 brick / 6
1x4 brick / 2
1x6 brick / 1
Black
1x2 slope / 2
Red
1x1 Brick / 2
Brown
1x4 brick / 1

I've some yellow slopes..

Seven 1x3
Four 1x2
Eight 1x2 Inverted

Thats all though, so you'd need more from others.. or if someone has them all- you can go with that :)

Stuff for 'Castle' that I don't have usually excites me :) Some shields with dragon design? Or a torso of a peasant or lordling?

Loan? The kids don't get to keep the LEGO pikachu's they build? heh I had thought it was a great 'loot bag' gift

I'm having enough trouble getting 6 together - let alone one for every kid! I should have thought of this a month ago and bricklinked them.

It's interesting to see when doing something like this how "small" or "limited" my collection is. Having said that I should be able to pull most of those pieces from a Black Seas Barracuda for loan.

I can pull them all except the 1x2 yellow inverted slope, which I only have 20 of the sorted drawer. I could likely bring a bin of misc yellow to find the rest.

I will try to find time to look through pieces on the weekend, but I don't know that I will find the time. shake

That would be great Daveed! We should be able to make up at least six models for the meeting & party.

I would post a picture of my model but I'd like save it for the speed build.
