Yep... I guess you missed that Andrew posted this in the 50% off PoP thread. Walmart apparently had it for $5 each, but none left that I saw at QueensBurrough or Grandview Hwy. Unfortunately you can't build Daveed's jeep from using two of these sets.

But you almost can. I built three of the jeeps from the set at first, then diecided they were two small and bulked them up. But I didn't use that many more pieces. The wheels were the big one, plus a few bits for the front end and a few green plates.

I'm feeling foolish for buying my army men at $10 a box at TRU in the summer. I didn't think there would ever be this many floating around.

If anyone's interested- I'd be interested in trading 24 soliders (18+6 medics) plus rifles, accessories etc.. but Im keeping the baseplates they stand on, and the jeep pieces (but not the wheels/axles)

Ive decided to only keep 2 troops & pieces I like

I don't think you should have told us what you were doing with the stands. I would have handed over 50+ without much thought, but now I'm reluctant.

Anyway, as I have no attachment to the jeep pieces I would happily trade/buy some soldiers for something else.

Yeah I'd sell them.. I'd say $35, and you'd counter-offer $30 and I would say ok. Before they became available at $7something a box, I would have gone for $40 hah o'well

Haha too bad about the green stands!! If it works out great for your lego display then all the better Its all good

And if you wanna trade.. I'd be into Series 1 Caveman, Robin Hood, Zombie.. or anything that works well with my Castle theme

I will bring some Castle type stuff to the meeting, and see about trades.

I will also bring the Green Soldier stands. I have lots of tree leaves and don't need to steal your idea. and I think the idea will look better the more you get, so I will happily trade mine.

Somebody's been playing too many RPGs. Worse is I understood that. Even more worse, I still have my multi-sided dice from the D&D days.

Thanks for the original heads-up Andrew! Between 2 trips I managed to pick up 5 sets of the green guys. The soldiers are great and the baseplates are great for other figs as well.

As for the dice, ahem, yes, I got that reference to. Don't forget the all mighty d20 - I think my box of pretty coloured dice are still around here somewhere!
