2000 piece tub 4425 $24.96 at Walmart

Post by kevinw1 »

Subject says it all... our tiny Powell River walmart has them so I imagine the ones in Vancouver do too. This tub doesn't have the bonus weird pieces that the ones in the US had, but it's a very good deal on basic bricks all the same.

The dark grey seems to be the new one, but the light grey seems to me to be old grey. Can't see any difference between it and my existing light grey.

No brown, no unusual colors except orange, all bricks, plates and slopes.

There is still some on sale over here in the New Westminster store.

Yep, just confirming that the light grey is the NEW light bley. Haven't worked out yet what I'm going to do about sorting/storing them, the difference is so darn slight - but noticeable.

If anyone buys these and doesn't want the grey, I'll take it off your hands :)

Speaking of which, isn't that a different shade of the orange too?

Ok I know it's kind of late to be asking this but it can't hurt, right?
Has anyone got extras of these tubs that they still haven't sold?

The famous red tub, rumored to have reappeared at the
New West Walmart could not be found today. :(

I also went to the Lougheed Mall Walmart and never
mind the tubs, they barely have any Lego at all.

It's been a few days since I went, but did you look up.... way up? (Sorry, for the Friendly Giant reference) There was a pallet of them on the wall. However, I imagine that they would have brought it down to the floor by now.

Hey, I grew up with the Friendly Giant, as many of us did no doubt.

Anyway, I stand corrected. The tubs were probably there all along.
On my first visit when I left empty-handed I did ask an employee, but
what would they know, they just work there.

There were a bunch there on Friday, out of reach on the wall, and
a few on a lower shelf near them, though nowhere near the Lego aisle.

Clearly I need to develop my brick sense, so I can sniff them out. :)
