I spotted this on microbricks and thought they were really cool. I also wondered why I had not seen them before. It makes me want to create an entire downtown Vancouver in microscale
These are not mine! Does anyone know who Thad Jantzi is?

Re: Vancouver Microscale
In my opinion, those are a helluva lot better than the Lego Architecture series. I'll pop it on the Front Page next week or so. Too much activity on our Front Page lately, people might actually start expecting something there.
If anyone knows or figures out who he is, have him come by to our next meeting.
Googling his name shows he used to use LugNet (about a year after the VLC started) many years back and that he's currently on LinkedIn. We should extend an invitation out to him to come to one of our meetings. Unless Tim or Dean know him already.

Question is.. who doesn't know Thaddeus Jantzi?!
He studied Computer Systems Technology at BCIT, married his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Dove, and he lives in Vancouver BC...
He has 189 friends on Facebook and doesnt use the privacy settings..
I've scouted him out, seems ok

The answer is Thad Jantzi is my brother-in-law's brother-in-lawmichael wrote: These are not mine! Does anyone know who Thad Jantzi is?
he is married to Jennifer Dove. Her brother is Rick Dove who married my sister.
I had seen some of his creations on his facebook (I am one of his friends) before.
I have told him about the VLC but he is not too interested at this time in his life.
Re: Vancouver Microscale
Well then.... mystery solved. That is a shame he isn't interested in the club.

I thought your questions was leading to a Space Balls quote.soundwave wrote:The answer is Thad Jantzi is my brother-in-law's brother-in-lawmichael wrote: These are not mine! Does anyone know who Thad Jantzi is?

Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Lone Starr: What's that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become.
And although he is not a member, it's still Vancouver related Lego content.

Re: Vancouver Microscale
Hey guys - Shane let me know you were talking about my Vancouver buildings, so I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Like he said, I don't have much free time these days what with work so I only end up building stuff with proper Lego once or twice a year. (I don't have a lot of space, so hauling out the whole collection is a fairly arduous process). I was planning to do another half dozen Vancouver buildings later this spring. I don't have all my designs quite completed, though I did jump the gun a bit and order parts for my City Hall model so when my last order comes in, which should be soon, I'll get it built and on mocpages pronto and let you guys know. Other ones I'd planned to tackle imminently are the Marine Building and Rogers Arena.
Anyways thanks for the kind words, and I'll try to hang around these forums a little and see what you're all up to.
Cheers!

Awesome. I look forward to seeing the next buildings in your series.
The city hall design in your profile image looks pretty amazing!
