The Burrard Street Bridge!

Post by TheRebricker »

I was tinkering with building a bridge and then I got overrun with inspiration! This is officially my first official original MOC. Weighing in at just over 6000 bricks. Sadly I'm about 5500 bricks short to actually build it, but would love to build it. Perhaps for a forth coming show. Picture it with hundreds of Minifigs on it for the Sun Run!

TO make sure this build would work, I brick built several parts although colors didn't match. This is a solid bridge! All parts are available to build this, but pricing on Bricklink put the price well over $2000. If anyone has a large assortment of tan or Dark Orange bricks for sale at a reasonable rate, I may be interested. I also am watching the PAB wall as some of the Tan parts I need have popped up there a few times before.

Who knows, maybe it will become a reality by 2018! ;)

It's 44x100 (mostly fits on two 48x48 base plates) It would have to be for a big show. Pretty much Minifig scale. I'm thinking a great model to promote the SunRun one day. :)

I'm not familiar with that. I built this one myself from nothing but actual images of the bridge and lots of testing with the bricks I do have.

I think there will be a change to the trains request I have... I'll post it in the appropriate thread.

I meant is this Gregor Robertson's (Mayor Moonbeam) vision of the Burrard St Bridge with no vehicular traffic and all bikes?

I knew there was another reason Sarah wanted to add bicycles to the LUGBulk.

Haha! Yeah! Okay now I follow! I'd need a major WHEELS order from LugBulk to make it realistic!
